Christmas Party

We were invited to a Christmas Party at Liam's house. We had a very nice time...
Roman and Violet are frosting cookies, Roman made sure to taste the sprinkles before hand.
Violet is doing great with learning her colors. She was excited to use yellow icing for her cookie..

The best part were the sprinkles!

Here are some of the cookies they frosted...

Santa also came to the party!!

They weren't very happy to sit with Santa at first. Once we put them in his lap, we started to sing songs and they calmed down.

Liam was one of the first kids to sit with Santa...

Baby Penelope broke the ice!

Thanks so much for inviting us, Liam!! I love your new haircut!

Next, everyone made snow globes out of baby food jars. It was a really neat idea and the kids had fun picking out the Santa for the center of their snow globe..

Hi Brianna! That is a cute reindeer shirt!

Ta-da!
We had a wonderful time at the party and enjoyed all of the fun activities!

2nd Attempt at visiting Santa

I took the twins to the mall for a second opportunity to sit with Santa Clause. We talked about it often, they knew who Santa was in books and would get excited to see him on TV. But once we got to the mall, they would not get near him. We had fun walking through the decorated area Santa sat in at the mall.
They are getting so big!
They were both really excited about the decorations and waving at Santa.

Chambers Family Yuletide Celebratioin

We went to see the Chambers Family Foundation Yuletide Celebration put on by the Eugene Orchestra at the Hult Center. They had this beautiful Christmas tree set up in the lobby that the babies wanted to stand in front of.
They enjoyed the show and the music. There is a part of it when several dancing Santas get on the stage together, I think that was their favorite.

Liam's Birthday Party

Roman, Violet, and Brianna had a great time playing piano together...

Violet and Roman had a chance to play with their friends and toys...

Again, the date on my camera is incorrect. It should be 2009. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of Liam from his birthday party because my camera died soon after we arrived.

Festival of Trees

We went with Opa and Oma to the Festival of Trees 2009. The twins love to see Christmas lights.
This was our first attempt at visiting Santa this year. Neither one of them would sit in his lap by themselves.

But they were both comfortable enough to accept the candy canes he was handing out. Violet has a strange look on her face in this picture.

Violet loves to ride on Opa's shoulders! Roman was wearing his new Yankee hat to the event.

They were both excited to see Mickey Mouse stuff there also...

It was a nice day!

Happy Thanksgiving 2009

This year, we had lots to be thankful for. The date on the pictures is incorrect, it's supposed to be 2009.
The twin's birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day this year, so we had double to celebrate. Everyone at dinner had a chance to say what they are thankful for. Roman was most thankful for "Yellow!". It was adorable. Violet answered by rambling something off, it was still cute.

2nd Birthday Party!!!!

Happy Birthday to Violet and Roman!!!

I can't believe they are already TWO YEARS OLD!!

Their real birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day this year, so we had their party the weekend before..

Oma with the Birthday Girl.....

Sophia's brother, Baby Gavin was even able to make it to the party!

It was great to invite some of their friends over. From Left: Brianna, Liam, Sophia, Roman, Violet, and an inflatable Dora the Explorer doll (Violet refused to take the picture unless Dora sat next to her on the couch!)

What lucky little kids, they received SO many gifts... This one is a My Pal Puppy from Leap Frog. It's programmable online so the puppies can say and spell their names, sing them songs, ask them questions about their favorite things, and we can change the information at any time. They are really neat! Violet loves it that her My Pal Violet puppy knows her name. Opa & Oma got them the puppies...

Brianna really enjoyed the party hats!!

Hi Sophia!

Roman wearing his new NY Yankee baseball cap...

He was really excited to get some new cars from Noni and Grandma B...

It was so sweet of Violet to kiss her new baby doll once she pulled it out of the box!

Cake was the best part...

Roman's cake was a Thomas the Train mini cake....

Violet's was a Dora the Explorer mini cake..........

Sophia enjoyed the cupcakes, as well....

I asked the bakery to match the cupcakes for the guests to the icing on their individual cakes. The cupcakes that matched Roman's cake were very blue in color that stained everyone's teeth and lips. I now know to check for that next year!

Overall, it was a wonderful birthday party and I am really glad that the kids had so much fun! Thank you to everyone who participated in their birthday event!
